In an interview, Cde Machakaire said all necessary preparations have been finalized for the event, which will bring together young people from all walks of life to celebrate their achievements and contributions to the development of the country.
“We are ready for the National Youth Day celebrations, and we are looking forward to a successful event that will showcase the talent and potential of our young people. The theme for this year’s commemorations is very relevant as it reflects the government’s commitment to empowering and engaging the youth in the sustainable development of the country,” said Cde Machakaire.
He added that the celebrations will feature various activities such as musical performances, art exhibitions, and sports competitions, as well as educational and motivational talks by prominent figures in different fields.
“We want the young people to not only enjoy themselves but also to learn and be inspired to take an active role in building a better future for themselves and their communities. That is why we have arranged a diverse program that will cater to the interests and aspirations of all young people,” he said.
Cde Machakaire also emphasized the importance of creating opportunities for the youth to showcase their skills and talents, and to network with potential mentors and employers.
“We want the National Youth Day celebrations to be more than just a one-day event. We want it to be a platform for young people to connect with each other and with various stakeholders who can support them in their personal and professional development. We want them to leave the event feeling motivated and empowered to make a positive impact in their own lives and in the society at large,” he said.
He also highlighted the government’s commitment to creating an enabling environment for the youth to thrive, through various programs and initiatives aimed at promoting entrepreneurship, innovation, and education.
“We want our young people to know that they are valued and important members of our society, and that the government is dedicated to supporting them in reaching their full potential. We have various programs in place to provide the youth with access to resources, training, and mentorship, so that they can pursue their goals and contribute to the development of the country,” he said.
Cde Machakaire urged all young people to take advantage of the opportunities that will be presented at the National Youth Day celebrations to learn, network, and be inspired.
“We want the youth to be active participants in their own development. We want them to seize the opportunities that are available to them, and to use their energy and creativity to drive positive change in their communities. The future of our country depends on the contributions of our young people, and we are committed to empowering them to be the leaders and change-makers of tomorrow,” he said.
