“Drunk” Police Officer Kills Suspect
By A Correspondent – A police officer in Chimanimani is now facing a murder charge after allegedly fatally injuring a man while reportedly under the influence of alcohol.
According to the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA), on 25 February 2026, Bhekimpilo Ncube (35), the officer in charge of Chikukwa Police Base, received a report that Godman Mtimba (34) had been acting violently in the area.
