In an interview relayed by UEFAcom, the midfielder from Napoli in the Italian Serie A reflects on the highlights of his career.

He is now one of the key players in the national team. Zambo Anguissa, captain of the Indomitable Lions during the Africa Cup of Nations following Aboubakar Vincent’s injury, might not have become the player he is today if he hadn’t had certain encounters in his life, as he explains himself:

“I am searching for the words… because I could not talk about my football career without mentioning AS Fortuna. Because the president, Roger Noah… in a certain way, everything started with him. I met him through a man who is now deceased, God rest his soul, named Mr. Abesolo, and we must remember this man because he really mattered to me. I must emphasize how much he mattered to me and continues to matter to me. It is thanks to him that I met coach Roger Noah, the president of AS Fortuna. And if I talk about him, it’s because he insisted that I participate in the G8 tournament organized by agent Maxime Nana. I would not have accepted without Mr. Roger Noah. I was not going to do it. It was really lucky that I went there. I was going to participate in the trials for the national youth team at the time, and he told me, ‘No, don’t go there. You have to go for trials in the G8 tournament.’ The tournament had already started two days ago and lasted three days. So, I went there and I didn’t do very well. But in the end, they signed me. I won the title of best player of the tournament.”

The one who has played for teams like Marseille, Fulham, Villareal, and now Napoli, has an estimated market value of 30.0 million euros.
