Zimbabwe Spearheads Anti-Death Penalty Campaign
Zimbabwe is among the top three nations in Sub-Saharan Africa for the number of death penalty abolitions.
Amnesty International said in a press release in honour of Thursday’s World Day Against the Death Penalty that the death penalty has been applied much more frequently in Sub-Saharan Africa.
According to Amnesty International, from 298 to 494, there were 3 times as many recorded executions and 66% more death sentences.
