WestProp Holdings has recently announced the launch of the US$100 million Hills Luxury Lifestyle Estate, scheduled for May 2, 2024. This mixed-use development, formerly known as the Warren Hills Golf Club, is set to redefine luxury living in Zimbabwe.
The unveiling of this prestigious project took place at a sold-out diaspora marketing roadshow in Washington, DC, led by WestProp Holdings CEO, Mr. Ken Sharpe. The estate will feature the first PGA-quality championship golf course in Zimbabwe and will be the second of its kind in the sub-region. Additionally, it will house the first luxury five-star hotel offering branded residences in sub-Saharan Africa.
The Hills Luxury Lifestyle Estate aims to provide a vibrant community with 862 homes, including apartments, townhouses, villas, and retirement flats. A key highlight of the development is the creation of 80% green space, ensuring compliance with green standards. The estate will also offer amenities such as swimming and tennis academies and various sporting facilities.
At the diaspora marketing roadshow, attendees were offered an enticing incentive of a US$10,000 discount on their purchase at the Hills. Mr. Sharpe encouraged Zimbabweans living in the United States to actively participate in the growth and development of their home country. He emphasized the importance of collective effort in building a prosperous future for Zimbabwe, echoing the sentiment of President Emmerson Mnangagwa: “Nyika Inovakwa Nevene Vayo.”
With 62% of Zimbabwe’s population under the age of 25, WestProp Holdings has a long-term vision to contribute to the country’s development by laying 1 billion bricks by 2050. Mr. Sharpe addressed concerns and questions from delegates to instill confidence in investing with reputable real estate companies.
The roadshow was attended by Ambassador Tedious Chifamba, Zimbabwe’s representative to the United States, and J. W Oliver, Chairman of the American Chamber of Commerce in Zimbabwe. Ambassador Chifamba highlighted the demand for housing in Zimbabwe and identified the real estate sector as a priority investment area. He encouraged diaspora Zimbabweans to leverage their collective resources and invest in the country to stimulate economic growth.
J. W Oliver commended Zimbabwe’s educated, friendly, and supportive population, emphasizing the exciting business prospects in the country. He emphasized the role of the American Chamber of Commerce in facilitating business linkages and partnerships.
Ambassador Chifamba acknowledged the significant contribution of the Zimbabwean diaspora in America, amounting to US$179 million in remittances last year. He urged diaspora members to pool their resources and invest in Zimbabwe collectively, leveraging their numbers to access credit from offshore financial institutions.
The launch of the Hills Luxury Lifestyle Estate represents a significant milestone in Zimbabwe’s real estate landscape, offering a unique blend of luxury living and sustainable development practices. With an emphasis on community, green spaces, and world-class amenities, the estate is poised to set a new standard for upscale living in the region.
