According to Rtd General Engelbert Rugeje, Erasmus Rugeje had accompanied his daughter to board a bus at the business center. After his daughter had boarded the bus, he decided to drive back. It was during this time that his vehicle encroached into the lane of an oncoming bus near Zvinoita Vamwe Store, resulting in a head-on collision that claimed his life on the spot. His body was taken to Silveira Hospital mortuary following the tragic accident.
