Drought Kills 3000 Cattle In Matabeleland North

The government is ramping up initiatives to assist livestock farmers following the tragic loss of over 12,500 cattle between June and September this year, primarily due to drought-related malnutrition, water shortages, and disease outbreaks.
Data from the Directorate of Veterinary Services (DVS) reveals that malnutrition and insufficient drinking water were responsible for the deaths of 7,072 cattle.
