13 Zimbabweans tragically lost their lives in a horrific bus crash near Cape Town, South Africa. The accident, which also left 26 others injured, occurred when a coach belonging to Simplex Bus Company collided with a haulage truck on the N1 Highway near Hex River Pass. The bus was en route from Harare to Cape Town, with the accident happening approximately 130km before reaching its destination.
The driver of the bus tragically lost his life after attempting to jump out of the vehicle. Emergency services responded swiftly to the scene, transporting the survivors to Worcester Hospital for urgent medical care. Some of the injured passengers are in critical condition, fighting for their lives.
