The meeting allowed a review of the activities and projects of the agency on the continent and to assess the cooperation between Auda-Nepad and Tunisia and its future prospects. The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Migration, and Tunisians Abroad, Nabil Ammar, received yesterday the Executive Director of the African Union Development Agency (Auda-Nepad), Nardos Bekele Thomas, on a working visit to Tunisia from March 23 to 27. The meeting allowed a review of the activities and projects of the Agency on the continent and to assess the cooperation between AudaNepad and Tunisia and its future prospects. Nabil Ammar emphasized Tunisia’s determination to promote common and effective African action and strengthen African Union institutions. He also highlighted the importance of the role of Aauda-Nepad, which “represents the main lever of the Union in terms of development and implementation of regional integration on the continent.” The minister particularly emphasized the important role of the Agency in mobilizing resources for the implementation of economic integration projects and strengthening the capacities of member countries. He stressed the need to mobilize financial resources in priority areas for Africa to achieve the goals of the Africa 2063 Development Agenda. For her part, the Executive Director of the African Union Agency reviewed the main projects of this organization on the continent, praising Tunisia’s support for its efforts. She highlighted the importance of mobilizing all the potential of Tunisia, which benefits from expertise in various fields.
