Nigerian singer Ayra Starr has declared her Grammy-winning colleague, Wizkid, as the king of Afrobeats.
DAILY POST reports that there is an ongoing debate over the superiority of Afrobeats powerhouses Wizkid, Davido, and Burna Boy, otherwise called the “Big 3.”
Speaking in a recent interview with Complex, Ayra Starr boldly declared Wizkid as the king of the genre.
She explained that she decided to feature the Starboy crooner in her hit song ‘Gimme Dat’ because no one does “sexy Afrobeats” better than him.
