Ugandan coffee shipments are overflowing the European Union (EU) as traders scramble to get their hands on beans before the year-end implementation of new environmental regulations.
Under the EU’s Deforestation Regulation (EUDR), importers into the bloc will have to demonstrate that goods such as coffee, beef, cocoa, and timber do not contribute to the destruction of forest land.
