In a message posted on his Facebook page, the President of the Alliance des Forces Démocratiques (Afd Party), Dr. Modibo Soumaré gives his opinion on what Mali needs at the moment. “In truth, we need a meeting to announce energy autonomy. In truth, we need the highest authorities to announce the date of the presidential election and the installation of a democratic power resulting from the will of the sovereign people through a free and transparent vote. In truth, we need a referendum for the people to reaffirm that Mali is and remains a member of ECOWAS,” he emphasized. And Dr. Modibo Soumaré continued: “I remain convinced that there needs to be high-level dialogue with all Malians without sugarcoating. Yes, I reaffirm my deep conviction that democracy is the best way to access and exercise power on behalf of the people.”
