We’re confident of keeping Kano, gaining more northern states – NNPP

The National Chairman of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Ajuji Ahmed, has said the party remains strong in Kano and is preparing to expand its influence across the northern region ahead of the 2027 elections, despite the recent wave of defections.

Ahmed spoke on Saturday while reacting to the exit of two NNPP members of the House of Representatives; Abdulmumin Jibrin and Sagir Koki who recently joined the All Progressives Congress (APC). 

He insisted that the defections did not weaken the party.

“I have just two words for them: good luck. Their exit is not a minus to NNPP. In fact, more people are joining the party every day, especially in Kano.”
