During this period of heatwave and penitence, some neighborhoods in Kankan go hours, even days without a drop of water in the taps. In the Kabada and Bordo neighborhoods, there is a sense of revolt prevailing. Women are forced to stay awake all night to have water for the needs of the family. “We all need water, it is a source of life.”

We invite the President of the Republic and the authorities responsible for the issue to get involved for the happiness of the Malian people,” she asserts.

“It is incomprehensible that our country is known as the water tower of West Africa and yet lacks water to this extent. They (the authorities) need to rethink their management method to relieve the Guinean population.
