The spirit of the first Olympic event on African soil came alive in Gayaza on Saturday as the Dakar 2026 Youth Olympic Games flame tour ‘reached’ Uganda.
The Uganda Olympic Committee (UOC) took the Olympic Values activation to Green Valley Primary School, Magigye, bringing together pupils and the community in a day of sport, play and culture.
The activation implemented by UOC’s Olympic Values Education and Culture Commission coincided with the official flame tour in Senegal. The Dakar 2026 flame was lit in Athens on September 10, arrived in Dakar on September 12, and is now touring…
