The UN Security Council on Tuesday hailed an agreement reached by Libya’s rival political groups that paves the way for elections to be held within two years.
The UN-backed deal, signed in the capital Tripoli on August 30, was hailed as a step towards holding much-delayed national elections in the deeply divided country.
