The Uganda National Museum in Kampala will be temporarily closed for extensive renovations starting August 1, and lasting for 10 months, according to a statement from the Uganda Tourism Board (UTB).

The closure will allow for the “refurbishment” of the museum to “preserve and enhance its rich historical, cultural, and natural heritage for all generations,” the UTB stated.
