Joshua Owili, a former pupil of Glory Nursery and Primary School in Alebtong District, credited his success in scoring Aggregate 5 in the Primary Leaving Examination (PLE) to the weekly Monitor Pass PLE pullout. He expressed his gratitude to his supportive teachers and the collaborative effort of his fellow candidates during his preparations for the exam.
Owili emphasized the significant impact of the Monitor’s Excel in PLE pullout, distributed by the school every week, in helping them work hard and revise effectively. This resource provided valuable study materials and guidance that contributed to their academic achievements.
The PLE results released by the Uganda National Examinations Board (Uneb) revealed that among the 31 candidates who sat for the exam at Glory Nursery and Primary School, 23 passed with a first-grade distinction, while the remaining candidates achieved a second-grade qualification.
The school director, Mr. George Oruk, expressed his gratitude to Monitor Publications Ltd for their partnership and acknowledged the instrumental role played by Excel in PLE in contributing to the school’s success. He highlighted the notable improvement in the quality of passing, citing a previous PLE star who achieved an Aggregate 6 before the implementation of Excel in PLE resources.
Oruk’s statement affirmed the positive impact of the educational materials provided by Monitor, which have undoubtedly contributed to the improvement in students’ academic performance.
Overall, Owili’s outstanding performance and the school’s impressive PLE results underscore the importance of educational resources like the Monitor Pass PLE and Excel in PLE pullouts in supporting students’ academic success and preparing them for their future endeavors. These initiatives have proven to be invaluable in enhancing the quality of education and academic achievement in schools across Uganda.
