The Uganda Civil Aviation Authority (UCAA) has upgraded the Jinja Airfield, a move officials say will boost the aviation industry.
UCAA said in a statement that the airfield underwent an upgrade, with its runway, taxiway and apron transformed from gravel surfaces into a modern paved runway and parallel taxiway.
The project forms part of the National Civil Aviation Master Plan, an initiative designed to modernize regional aerodromes, enhance connectivity and support tourism and trade across the country.
