Two staff detained as security agencies probe Among’s wealth

The Uganda People’s Defence Forces are holding two staff members attached to the office of former Speaker of Parliament Anita Among.

A source privy to the investigation, speaking on condition of anonymity, said the former speaker’s head of security detail — a senior police officer from the Directorate of Counter Terrorism — and another civilian staff member are being interrogated by operatives from Defence Intelligence and Security, formerly CMI, at its Mbuya headquarters.
