On Monday, March 25, 2024, during a session at the Togolese National Assembly, two new faces were welcomed, marking a change in the composition of the institution. This decision follows an intervention by the Constitutional Court, following a request from President Yawa Tsègan.
Thus, Aziabou Kodjo Alexandre, who held the second position on the Independent AVE en Marche list in the AVE electoral district, now replaces Pacôme Adjourouvi, who was recently appointed Minister of Human Rights.
Similarly, Kokouvi Soedji, who held the position of Director General of the National Agricultural Training Institute in Tove, in the Plateaux region, succeeds Assoupi Amélé Adjé, who recently passed away. The latter was the representative of the Independent Alloledou-VO.
The new deputies are now called to take up their duties and actively contribute to the debates and decisions of the Togolese National Assembly.
