Tooro PM calls for gov’t guidance amid succession row

Tooro Kingdom Prime Minister Calvin Armstrong Rwomiire has appealed to the Government of Uganda to provide guidance and support to maintain peace and order as a dispute over the succession to the late Omukama Oyo Nyimba Kabamba Iguru Rukidi IV deepens.

Rwomiire said the government should help create conditions for the relevant cultural, legal and institutional processes to take place peacefully and fairly, but should not choose the next king for Tooro.
