A robbery shook the East suburb of the city of Lomé this Thursday, March 28, 2024, leaving a young man seriously injured by bullets.
Around 5 p.m., the Akodessewa neighborhood was the scene of an attack carried out by two armed individuals riding motorcycles. Their target: a young man also on a motorcycle, chased to be deprived of his belongings.
As in previous incidents, the robbers, according to witnesses, used warning shots to disperse the witnesses and ensure a smooth escape. Unfortunately, two bullets hit a young passerby who was in the area at the wrong time.
Seriously injured in the chest and back, the young man remained on the ground, suffering for more than 45 minutes before the arrival of the rescue team. His health condition remains unknown at the moment.
As for the robbers, there is currently no information on their fate and the amount of their loot.
