A report from the Spanish Counter-Espionage Agency, under the Presidency of the Government of Madrid, has formally cleared Morocco of any involvement in espionage activities and interference in Spain’s internal affairs. Details.

Affaire Pegasus : L’Agence espagnole de contre-espionnage innocente le Maroc

The conclusions of the report unequivocally buried all suspicions and accusations that had been directed against the Kingdom of Morocco regarding alleged espionage activities targeting the Spanish Prime Minister, Pedro Sanchez, and other high-ranking Spanish officials, using the Pegasus software.

It is worth noting that these allegations had already been denied by senior Spanish officials in November 2022, during hearings before a European Parliament committee investigating the use of Pegasus software.

In the same vein, the Spanish National Court decided in July 2023 to close the Pegasus case due to lack of evidence.
