Renowned skit creator, Chukwuebuka Emmanuel Amuzie, also known as Brain Jotter, has recently shared that he initially started making skits while portraying the character of a crossdresser named Madam Ogadi, but eventually made the decision to change his persona. Amuzie explained that he ultimately stopped crossdressing because he believed it was not a sustainable path unless executed exceedingly well.
In a recent appearance on Channels TV’s program, Rubbin’ Minds, hosted by Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, Brain Jotter discussed his experience with crossdressing and the shift in his content creation. He emphasized, “I have a friend who is advising me to start making content as a crossdresser. I’m not interested because I’ve tried it before.” Recalling his earlier performances as Madam Ogadi, he shared that the audience’s positive reactions initially fueled his commitment to the character. However, he soon came to the realization that portraying a crossdresser was not a viable long-term plan. “I just don’t buy the idea because it won’t last. People might enjoy it once or twice, but you’re not a woman. Except you are doing it exceptionally well. You can’t be wearing a woman’s clothes with beards,” he added.
Furthermore, Brain Jotter also revealed that he is venturing into the Nollywood industry and teased the release of some of his movies later this year. Additionally, he mentioned his previous foray into music, indicating a diverse and multifaceted creative career.
Amuzie’s candid insights into his journey as a skit maker and the evolution of his content shed light on the deliberate choices he has made in shaping his creative identity. Focusing on authenticity and sustainability, he has demonstrated a willingness to adapt and explore various artistic avenues, ensuring a dynamic and enduring presence in the entertainment industry.
