During the hearing on the appeals against the new electoral code, the applicants informed the court that there were modifications made to the document adopted by parliament.

In response to these allegations, representatives of the National Assembly and the government were invited to react. The head of the legal department of Parliament stated that it is practically impossible for the President of the National Assembly to modify texts voted on in plenary session. He emphasized that all texts voted on are electronically sent to all deputies, making it difficult to imagine that they could be modified later.

The government representative, for his part, emphasized that the text sent to the President of the Republic was then transmitted to the Constitutional Court for a review of constitutionality. He emphasized that all official documents sent to the president are never subject to any modifications.

“All official documents sent to the President of the Republic are not subject to any modifications,” he explained.

According to the democratic deputies present at the court’s plenary session, articles 42 and 37 adopted in the new electoral code had disappeared from the document provided to them by the court.
