The national secretary-general of the African Movement for New Independence and Democracy in Chad (Manid-Chad), Ousmane Moumine, presided over the opening ceremony of the explanatory convention of the party on April 6, 2024.
Following the conclave of the Consultation Group of Political Actors (Gcap) held on March 13, 2023, this explanatory convention of Manid-Chad takes place under the theme “Decisions and Current Stakes.”
Several delegates from the country’s provinces took part in this explanatory convention, which aims to give an account of the Gcap conclave of March 13, 2023, the commitment of the Gcap candidate, the rejection of the Gcap candidacy, and the formulation of proposals on future action, among others.
According to the Secretary-General of Manid-Chad, Ousmane Moumine, the reasons given by the constitutional council to invalidate the Gcap candidacy are nothing but mere inventions. “Taking all lessons from the past and considering the behavior of the transitional president, the upcoming election will be nothing but a farce. It will not be transparent, free, democratic, or credible,” he affirms.
According to him, the only solution to stop this farce is boycott. “We say stop to this election, we say stop to the fraud, we say stop to the dynasty,” Ousmane Moumine emphasized.
