During this meeting, the delegate minister in charge of digital transition and public administration reform, Ghita Mezzour, presented an updated presentation on “the general orientations of digital development – Morocco digital 2030” following meetings organized with commission members to gather their proposals and opinions to contribute to the enrichment of the national strategy for digital development, according to a statement from the Prime Minister’s Office.
This strategy aims to provide citizens with equal access to digital services, ensuring the adoption of best practices and supporting public administration in its digital transition, the same source emphasizes. It also aims to position the Kingdom as a producer of digital solutions, create job opportunities through attracting investments, and support young talents in the digital field.
In this context, Mr. Akhannouch emphasized that the government is committed to enhancing the digitalization of public administration and developing the digital economy, in line with the Royal Directives and the government program commitments.
He highlighted the government’s commitment to implementing the digital transition efficiently, given its significant role in improving the quality of public services, creating wealth, and economic development.
This meeting served as a reminder of the two fundamental axes of the “general orientations of digital development – Morocco digital 2030”, notably the digitalization of public services aiming to accelerate the digitization of public services while ensuring their quality through a user-centered methodology, whether they are citizens or businesses.
It also involves injecting new dynamics into the digital economy to develop Moroccan digital solutions, create value, and jobs. This pillar is structured around three main axes, namely the development of the offshoring sector, the establishment of an ecosystem dedicated to developing businesses, and supporting the digitalization of small and medium-sized enterprises.
The second meeting was attended by government members, commission members, representatives from the public and private sectors, professional bodies, and experts.
