During the meeting, President Marsiglia expressed to the Ambassador of the Kingdom the close relationship between the Italian energy industry and Morocco, especially after the tragedy experienced by Morocco during the Al haouz earthquake. In the important meeting held in Rome, great importance was placed on the contribution that the Kingdom of Morocco makes to energy transition policies by opening up investments to various forms of renewable energy and green hydrogen, while not neglecting traditional fossil fuels. This is a significant commitment for Morocco, which could soon become a hub for green energy in the Atlas region. However, the North African region remains strategic due to significant oil and gas deposits.
Furthermore, the two officials indicated that strengthening bilateral, commercial, and industrial relations between the two countries could only be achieved through the involvement of companies interested in Moroccan projects. Attention and discussions focused on the Mattei Plan for Africa promoted by Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni and the numerous investments planned on the African continent.
During the meeting, Federpetroli President Marsiglia and Moroccan Ambassador Mr. Balla exchanged views on the global energy scene, emphasizing the delicate situation in the Middle East and future scenarios in the Mediterranean. It is worth noting that FederPetroli Italia is a non-union oil federation specializing in career and development activities in the oil and energy sectors.
