Tayebwa clears air on generator expense

The Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Mr Thomas Tayebwa has come out and clarified on the government purchased generator at his residence in Kigo Entebbe Road.

In June 2024, there was public uproar especially on social  media when government bought two power backup generators for personal use at the residences of the speaker, Ms Anita Among and her deputy, Mr Thomas Tayebwa at a cost of Shs592 million. This comes at a time when Uganda cannot meet most of the social service needs of ordinary Ugandan.
