The Cameroon suspended from the EITI Process yesterday, February 29, 2024. I am deeply saddened by this suspension of our country from the EITI, the second of its kind in less than three years. I am even more sad because I modestly contributed with Minister Abah Abah to Cameroon’s entry into this initiative (London 2007), but especially because the Glencore case is part of the reasons, even though we had made proposals that could have avoided this. Ultimately, the opacity in the management of our extractive industry is only the result of systemic corruption. Hopefully, with this, they will go after the names of the country’s grave diggers at Glencore.

To ensure that Cameroonian citizens are fully informed of the incredibly arrogant and corrupt nature of Glencore’s relations with SNH and SONARA, I am sending all the basic documents I have. If you are interested, send me an email at [email protected]. Please include your name and phone number. Preferred language: French or English. Within 7 days, you will receive the documents. Together, we will compel Glencore to disclose the names and the competent authorities to prosecute these corrupt individuals and claim damages.
