The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has released the list of 21 players who will be representing the Super Falcons in the Paris 2024 third-round Olympic qualifiers against Cameroon. The names of the selected players were announced on the Super Falcons X social media handle on Friday.
Leading the squad are star players Asisat Oshoala, Chiamaka Nnadozie, Rasheedat Ajibade, Michelle Alozie, Osinachi Ohale, Uchenna Kanu, Jennifer Echegini, Christy Ucheibe, and Ashleigh Plumptre. Plumptre, in particular, is making a return to the team after the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup. Also invited for the qualifiers are Tochukwu Oluehi, Halimatu Ayinde, Deborah Abiodun, Tosin Demehin, Omorinsola Babajide, Esther Okoronkwo, Ifeoma Onumonu, Toni Payne, and Monday Gift.
The first leg of the qualifiers against Cameroon is scheduled for Friday, 23 February 2024. The Super Falcons will then host the second leg in Abuja on Monday, 26 February.
