The first phase of the pre-elimination round of the CAN Morocco 2025 started on Wednesday, March 20th. Eight national teams are involved: Somalia, Eswatini, Djibouti, Liberia, Chad, Mauritius, South Sudan, and Sao Tome and Principe.
Their goal is to secure the four spots available to advance to the elimination phase played in groups by the 52 participating nations.
On Wednesday, two matches were played: Somalia – Eswatini: 0-3 (El Jadida) and Djibouti – Liberia: 0-2 (Marrakech).
On Friday, March 22nd, the following matches will take place: Tchad – Mauritius (Saudi Arabia) and Sao Tome and Principe – South Sudan (Berkane, Morocco).
Return matches will be played on Tuesday, March 26th: Eswatini – Somalia (El Jadida), Liberia – Djibouti (Marrakech), South Sudan – Sao Tome and Principe (Berkane, Morocco), and Mauritius – Tchad (Saudi Arabia).
