On the sidelines of the African Games in Accra, Ghana, the President of the Olympic Sports Committee of Chad (COST), Idriss Dokony Adiker, participated in the General Assembly of the Association of National Olympic Committees of Africa (ANOCA) Zone 4 on Sunday, March 10.

It is now official. The Chadian capital, N’Djamena, will host the elective General Assembly of the Association of National Olympic Committees of Africa (ANOCA) in 2025. The decision was made during a meeting held in Accra, Ghana. In the Ghanaian capital, several other points were discussed during this meeting, including the review of the association’s activities. It was agreed to hold the meeting of ANOCA sports ministers in Equatorial Guinea in 2024.

The President of the Olympic Sports Committee of Chad (COST), Idriss Dokony Adiker, welcomed these meetings. According to him, this meeting allowed to review some partnerships. “The objective here is to see how we can multiply our actions in the interest of our athletes and especially to explore the possibilities of organizing events in our zones, competitions in various disciplines, and helping our athletes participate in as many competitions at the zonal, continental, and global levels as possible,” he said.

ANOCA consists of eight countries: Cameroon, Congo, Gabon, Equatorial Guinea, Central African Republic, Democratic Republic of Congo, Sao Tome and Principe, and Chad.
