Speaker Oboth hails King Oyo as Uganda’s ‘proud ambassador’

Speaker of Parliament Jacob Oboth has described the late King of Tooro, Oyo Nyimba Kabamba Iguru Rukidi IV, as a distinguished leader who carried Uganda in his heart and represented the country with pride at home and abroad.

Eulogising the late monarch during Tuesday’s plenary, Mr Oboth said King Oyo used his position to promote Uganda beyond the Tooro throne, championing tourism, environmental conservation and youth empowerment.
