The leader of the Freedom Front Plus (FF+), Pieter Groenewald, recently called on South Africans to take action against the ruling African National Congress (ANC) by voting for an opposition multi-party coalition in the upcoming national and provincial elections. Speaking at the FF+ manifesto launch in Pretoria, Groenewald outlined the party’s plan to address the challenges facing South Africa and rebuild the economy.
Groenewald criticized the ANC for driving the country to the brink of ruin and bankruptcy, attributing this to failed economic policies such as affirmative action and black economic empowerment (BEE). He argued that these policies had only benefited the politically connected elite, creating a new form of apartheid in the country. The FF+ vowed to undo these policies and restore a market-driven, free-market economy to stimulate job creation and economic growth.
In addition to economic reforms, the FF+ promised to introduce a fiscal commission to control government spending and reduce taxes for individuals and businesses. The party also pledged to restore local government autonomy and promote the self-determination of communities, while abolishing legislation that discriminates based on skin color.
As part of the multi-party charter for South Africa, the FF+ aims to join forces with other opposition parties to remove the ANC from power and usher in a new era of governance at both national and provincial levels. Groenewald emphasized the importance of this coalition in halting the decay of South Africa and implementing much-needed reforms in various sectors.
The FF+ manifesto includes proposals to improve education by empowering parents and communities in the development of mother tongue education programs. The party also seeks to reduce the influence of trade unions, especially in the education sector, and opposes the introduction of a National Health Insurance system, citing concerns about its impact on the health sector.
Furthermore, the FF+ plans to decentralize government power by reinstating small municipalities and enhancing border control and security measures. The party advocates for preferential treatment of South Africans in small business opportunities and employment, while pledging to professionalize the criminal justice system and appoint experienced individuals to key positions.
Overall, the FF+ presents a comprehensive vision for a reformed South Africa under its leadership, focusing on economic growth, community empowerment, and effective governance. By rallying support for the opposition coalition, Groenewald is urging voters to join forces in bringing about meaningful change and rebuilding the country’s future.
