After 25 years as a member of the DA in the Eastern Cape legislature, Bobby Stevenson rose for his final speech. In a rare occurrence, all his colleagues stood up to give him a standing ovation. As he prepares to retire from the legislature, Stevenson expressed his intention to remain active in the DA and local politics. He believes that there is a general feeling of hopelessness among the public and emphasized the importance of giving people hope for a better future through political engagement.
