Vuyo Zungula, the leader of the African Transformation Movement (ATM), recently made bold statements regarding the treatment of criminals in South Africa. Speaking at a rally in Jabulani, Soweto, Zungula expressed his stance on dealing with criminals, emphasizing that under an ATM government, criminals will not be treated with leniency.

Zungula emphasized that criminals will not be coddled in prison with amenities like three meals a day, free DSTV, water, and electricity. He stated that under the ATM, criminals will face consequences and the law will not protect those who do not respect the right to life of others. With recent crime statistics showing an increase in murders, Zungula vowed to bring back the death penalty if the ATM comes into power.

The ATM’s policies also include expropriating land without compensation to ensure food security for all citizens. Zungula highlighted the history of land dispossession and the need for the redistribution of land to address historical injustices. He emphasized the importance of empowering emerging farmers and reducing dependency on a few large farms for food production.

In addition to addressing crime and land reform, the ATM aims to focus on reindustrialization to create jobs and boost the local economy. Zungula emphasized the importance of producing goods domestically to create job opportunities for South Africans. He highlighted the need to stop importing goods that can be produced locally and to invest in local manufacturing to stimulate economic growth.

Overall, Zungula’s statements reflect the ATM’s commitment to addressing key issues facing South Africa, including crime, land reform, and economic development. By taking a strong stance on these issues, the ATM aims to provide solutions that prioritize the well-being of South African citizens and promote the country’s prosperity.
