Sheikh Ibrahim Inyass from Kaolack Prays for the Return of Peace in Burkina
While staying in Burkina Faso, the religious leader, Sheikh Ibrahim Inyass from Kaolack in Senegal, organized a night of invocations and prayers for the return of peace in Burkina on Thursday, March 28, 2024, at the grand mosque of sector No. 7 in Ouahigouya.
Men, women, and children from all corners of Ouahigouya city flocked to the venue starting from 7 pm, but it was around 9 pm that the guest of honor, Sheikh Ibrahim Inyass from Kaolack, accompanied by other imams from Ouahigouya, made his entrance.
After more than thirty minutes of prayer for the tarawih (the evening prayer) led by the Sheikh, it was time for invocations and blessings for the return of peace in Burkina Faso.
According to the religious leader, they came to show their solidarity with the brotherly people of Ouahigouya and Burkina Faso in general. “From Senegal, we receive information about the security and humanitarian situation. We assure you that these difficult situations you are currently experiencing will be a thing of the past soon. To the authorities of the transition, led by Captain Ibrahim Traoré, to the brave fighters (Armed Forces and Volunteer Defense Committees), may the Almighty God protect the country’s authorities and the fighting forces (Armed Forces and Volunteer Defense Committees) in their ongoing reconquest operations throughout the country,” he expressed.
Participants, like Adja Zoénabou Ouédraogo, thanked Sheikh Ibrahim Inyass for coming all the way from Kaolack, Senegal, to bestow blessings upon them. “We are confident that God will fulfill his wishes and that peace will return to Burkina Faso,” one participant said.
At the end of the invocations, the religious leader called on all the sons and daughters of Burkina to come together, especially to support the transitional authorities and the fighting forces for the final victory.
