The Office of the President recently announced the re-appointment of various board members to several entities within Seychelles. These entities include the Public Utilities Corporation (PUC), Seychelles Civil Aviation Authority (SCAA), Seychelles Ports Authority (SPA), Public Health Authority (PHA), and the Public Health Appeals Board. Additionally, the board members of the Seychelles Fishing Authority (SFA) have also been re-appointed.

Starting with the PUC, Stephen Rousseau has been appointed as the new chairperson of the board, with Dilip Shah serving as the vice-chairperson. Other members of the board include Joel Valmont (CEO/member [ex-officio]), Irene Croisée, Nanette Laure, Taryn Auguste, Bertrand Belle, Ingrid Sinon, Mike Tirant, and Naddy Banane. The board members have been appointed for a 3-year period starting from February 1, 2024.

Moving on to the SCAA, Wilfred Fock Tave has been appointed as the new chairperson, with Sherin Francis serving as the vice-chairperson. Other members of the board include Garry Albert (CEO/member [ex-officio]), Kelly Naidoo, Yannick Roucou, Noella Brioche, Estelle Alexis, and Jules Sinon. Similar to the PUC board, the members of the SCAA board have been appointed for a 3-year period starting from February 1, 2024.

At the SPA, Brian Loveday is the acting chairperson of the new board, with Sony Payet serving as the CEO/member (ex-officio). The other board members include Audrey Francis, Philipe Hoareau, Dr. Jan Robinson, Florence Marengo, and Mervin Lesperance. They have also been appointed for a 3-year period starting from February 1, 2024.

The Public Health Authority and Public Health Appeals Board have also seen appointments. Dr. Conrad Shamlaye has been re-appointed as the chairperson of the PHA board, with Jude Shroff as the new vice-chairperson. Other members include Dr. Jimmy Melanie, Victor Pool, Monica Servina, Rodney Philo, and Zarine Udwadia. Additionally, the Public Health Appeals Board members include Shireen Denys, Rosie Morel, and Vereine Louis-Marie. Both boards have been appointed for a 3-year period starting from January 1, 2024.

Lastly, the SFA board members have been re-appointed, including Radley Weber as the chairperson and Aubrey Harris as the vice-chairperson. The board also includes Jan Robinson (CEO/member [ex-officio]), Antoine Barbe, Roy Clarisse, Beatty Hoareau, Marc Gonthier, Joseph Tirant, and Franky Laporte as members. They have been re-appointed for a 3-year period starting from February 8, 2024.

Overall, the President expressed gratitude to the outgoing members of all the boards for their service during their tenure. This re-appointment of board members aims to ensure the continued effective governance and operation of these important entities in Seychelles.
