Since the illusory independence, Senegal has experienced the most difficult moments of its history in the past five years. Moments of intense repression, with a bloodthirsty political regime that has destroyed all the fundamentals of the rule of law and a democratic system that had reached maturity. Senegal has thus suffered in its own flesh and paid the heavy price of a heroic resistance to the attempt to maintain and perpetuate a political-judicial caste in power, serving as a lackey to an arrogant and decadent imperialism.
Progressive Africa, determined to achieve political, economic, and cultural independence, has been able to admire the courage and determination of the united Senegalese youth around the leader Ousmane Sonko. This unity allowed them to understand the meaning of their fight: the fight against a system that is the main contradiction to be resolved through resilience, endurance, suffering, and self-sacrifice. The diaspora has paid a high price in this struggle and deserves special tribute for its constant presence alongside its people, its personal and financial sacrifices, and its perpetual innovations in the forms of contextual struggles through the introduction and use of new information and communication technologies for a new destiny.
OUSMANE is a leader. This is evidenced by the unanimous support of the entire progressive and Pan-African political class for the society project he has piloted and proposed to the Senegalese people and Africa. It is shown by the acceptance by every Senegalese or African patriot of the idea and perspective of sacrificing their own life in the interest of future generations, as well as his genius which allowed him to put forward the candidacy of three substitutes in the upcoming presidential elections and to unconditionally accept an endorsement for the election of BASSIROU DIOMAYE DIAKHAR FAYE, his second in the party. His slogan “Ousmane moy Diomaye, Diomaye moy Ousmane” has been accepted without question and is held as a Quranic truth.
Tomorrow morning, Senegal will undoubtedly immortalize his struggle by voting for a complete and unconditional rupture with the current system of domination and exploitation by foreigners. Senegal should vote for the second Republic, with the overhaul of all institutions, primarily our scarred justice system which remains today the biggest focus of reforms, revising international cooperation, changing without compromise the men and mode of governance and behavior, cultural renewal, and integration into independent and progressive systems.
All state institutions had united to prevent Ousmane Sonko’s candidacy – the executive power, legislative power, judiciary, and the Constitutional Council. The disagreement at the top of these institutions plunged the country into institutional chaos, the outcome of which is still unknown and for which all clear minds are still somewhat fearful, fearing an electoral coup.
The second Republic is for tomorrow. Senegalese have the duty to respond to the call of the Great African leader who has made all sacrifices so that Tomorrow Will Be. The hope is that the expectations of tomorrow and its consequences will be without regret, as between the Senegalese and Ousmane Sonko, a blood pact has been signed and each must respect their commitments and obligations. Senegalese should remain vigilant, as they are fighting against a system that has not yet abdicated, ready to refuse electoral theft and the confiscation of their votes. Each Senegalese must be a watchman and a sentinel against mobile and moving polling stations, temporary voting shelters that are unjustified, and prevent the voting of foreigners from neighboring countries with systematic control of border entries.
