The Federal Republic of Germany, like the other partner countries of Senegal, has welcomed the decision of the President of the Republic allowing Senegal to organize the presidential election on March 24. “We congratulate the decision of the Senegalese Constitutional Council. This decision creates clarity regarding the legality of the electoral process,” said the spokesperson of the German Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
In addition, the German diplomat continued, “By the decision of President Macky Sall, the date of March 24 has been set for the presidential election. Thus, the conditions allowing Senegalese citizens to now quickly elect their head of state in a free and democratic manner have finally been created.”
It is worth noting that in order to ensure broad communication in Africa, the German Ministry of Foreign Affairs has established the German Information Committee in Africa (CAI). This committee collaborates with African journalists in the framework of its communication efforts.
