The Democratic Front for an Inclusive Election (Fdpei) has announced a challenge against the decree summoning the electoral body. A move that Bougane Gueye Dany does not find appropriate.
The date of the presidential election has been set for March 24th. Already, the Democratic Front for an Inclusive Election (Fdpei) has announced that it will challenge the decree summoning the electoral body, issued by President Macky Sall. But Bougane Gueye Dany has decided to distance himself from such a move.
“As a defrauded candidate, I disagree with any initiative aimed at seizing the Supreme Court to block the electoral process,” said the leader of the “Gueum sa bop” coalition.
For him, Senegal is at a major unprecedented turning point, and “what matters is the departure of this Benno regime and its lackeys.”
“Our egos and personal interests must give way to the popular will to go to the Presidential election. On this fact, I remain consistent in my belief that the election should take place before April 2nd with the 19 candidates maintained,” he added.
