Macky Sall has decided to forcibly impose his proposed amnesty law in order to supposedly erase crimes and offenses committed between February 1, 2021, and February 25, 2024, related to protests or with political motivations.
Here are the crimes and offenses that we are aware of, linked to protests or with political motivations:
1. The heinous and premeditated murders of 14 innocent young people in March 2021 (8 by gunshot).
2. The heinous and premeditated murders of 4 innocent young people in June 2022 (2 by gunshot).
3. The heinous and premeditated murders of 2 innocent young people in March 2023 (1 by gunshot, 1 crushed by a pickup truck filled with thugs).
4. The heinous and premeditated murders of 3 innocent young people in May 2023 (by gunshot).
5. The heinous and premeditated murders of 30 innocent young people in June 2023 (approximately 21 by gunshot).
6. The heinous and premeditated murders of 4 innocent young people in February 2024.
7. The alleged murder of Adji Diallo during protests in Ngor, and of Marie Ngom whose body was thrown from a van after her arrest in Ngor by the gendarmerie.
8. The alleged murder of François Mancabou, Fulbert Sambou, and the still missing Didier Badji.
9. Assaults, gunshot wounds, wounds from bladed weapons, mutilations inflicted on nearly 1500 innocent individuals, including women, children, elderly, and disabled.
10. Intentional assaults and injuries, tortures inflicted on nearly 3000 innocent individuals detained and thrown into prison, with tortures including electrocution of testicles.
11. Nearly 3000 potential offenses of defamation, forgery, use of forged documents committed by law enforcement officers and magistrates to falsely incriminate innocent individuals thrown into prison for 3 to 30 months without trial.
12. Crimes and offenses of criminal associations related to terrorist activities, criminal associations with the aim of organizing gangs (militias seen in the APR) by providing them with weapons to attack citizens. Money laundering in the context of organized terrorist activities.
13. Acts of conspiracy, defamation, false accusations by administrators and promoters of accounts ANITA, BATTU DEGG, and similar.
14. Incitement to hatred and murder: by deputies Cheikh Seck and Demba Diop – by Moustapha Diakhaté – by journalists Yerim Seck, Madiambal Diagne, Ben Makhtar – by members of the APR / BBY Ahmed Suzanne Camara, Me El Hadj Diouf, Gaston Mbengue, Talla Sylla 2, Ahmed Khalifa Niasse, Abdoulaye Mamadou Guissé – by presenters Khadim Samb, Père Ngol Ngol.
While there have been some acts of vandalism and property damage (private or public), they did not result in any deaths or injuries. The vandalized properties have already been replaced or repaired.
As we can see, what Macky Sall seeks to erase, against the wishes of the victims, are primarily crimes against humanity that would protect murderers, psychopaths, gangsters, as well as their sponsors and facilitators who have never been held accountable for their crimes committed in broad daylight. They have often been promoted or decorated after their crimes.
By crimes against humanity, we mean specific offenses committed in the context of large-scale attacks targeting civilians. They include:
– Murder: 85 cases have been recorded, sometimes filmed live.
– Torture: thousands of cases recorded, with unbearable testimonies.
– Slavery: What happens in prisons is worse than slavery (packets, diagan, dambolo, torture, 1 toilet for 250 detainees, years of standing sleep stuck together).
– Persecution: Young people, fathers and mothers, journalists, entrepreneurs, are persecuted, imprisoned, unemployed for their sympathy towards Ousmane Sonko.
– Forced disappearances: Didier Badji, Fulbert Sambou.
Crimes against humanity are often perpetrated as part of state policies but can also be committed by non-state armed groups.
If Macky Sall insists on forcing his amnesty through, it is certainly not out of a sudden sense of humanity in the last 30 days of his reign after 4350 days as a dictator, vindictive and vengeful as described by Moustapha Diakhaté.
Mr. Sall, we want to see the police officer seen in videos calmly aiming and shooting the unarmed Cheikh Wade wearing the national flag judged. He deserves neither our forgiveness nor the opportunity to continue wearing the uniform to allow him to kill other Cheikh Wades.
Mr. Sall, we want to see the sons of fathers caught recruiting militias and thugs such as Dof Ndeye judged.
Mr. Sall, we want to see those who ordered or authorized security forces to shoot live ammunition at unarmed and harmless protesters judged.
Mr. Sall, we want to see those who purchased and supplied weapons of war to these killer militias seen in pickups in front of the APR headquarters punished.
We know that the bootlicking deputies of BBY and Wallu would even vote in favor of genocide if it lined their pockets. But the Senegalese people will throw this amnesty in the trash once you finally leave.
In the past 4 years, law enforcement officers and militias have treated honest citizens like the Hutus treated the Tutsis. And to this day, they are free as birds, even allowing themselves to repeat their actions whenever they want because someone with the power has obstructed investigations. If today you force through an amnesty that will benefit almost exclusively these Senegalese Hutus and their sponsors, everyone understands why.
