As announced yesterday exclusively on Seneweb, the plenipotentiaries of the dialogue have proposed the date of June 2nd for the holding of the Presidential election. But that is not the only conclusion from the “dialogueists”. Here are the 5 major points agreed upon at the Abdou Diouf International Conference Center (CIDAD) during the national dialogue.

1. The date of June 2nd has been proposed for the holding of the Presidential election.
2. If the June 2nd date is confirmed, the vote will take place with the 19 candidates validated by the Constitutional Council. The electoral process will therefore continue.
3. The dialogueists have also proposed (despite the continuation of the process) that the cases of candidates judged unfairly disqualified (mainly Karim Wade) be re-evaluated for possible reinstatement.
4. The Amnesty Law will be introduced to the national assembly as early as this Thursday, February 29, for adoption.
5. The conclusions of the dialogue could be submitted for the assessment of the Constitutional Council.
