A lifeless body in an advanced state of decomposition was found this Thursday near the village of Djikesse, in the Bignona department. The body was identified as that of prison guard Lansana Diédhiou. “The victim had come to Bignona on February 8 for the burial of a close relative. Since then, he had disappeared,” sources from the newspaper Libération reported.

The sources revealed that the victim’s body was discovered behind the Djikesse primary school. “His clothes were spread out next to his lifeless body. The forensic police, alerted, immediately went to the scene of the tragedy,” the sources pointed out.
