The Senegalese political world is in mourning following the tragic death of Mamadou Yatassaye, an entrepreneur and disqualified candidate for the presidential election on March 24. The death occurred on Thursday, March 21, 2024, due to a sudden illness, according to his loved ones.
Leading the movement “S’unir pour demain” (Unite for tomorrow), Mamadou Yatassaye had launched his candidacy for the upcoming presidential election with ambition and determination. Unfortunately, despite his efforts, he did not manage to obtain the required number of endorsements, which led to his disqualification from the race for the highest office.
