According to the students at the University of Thiès, it is out of the question to take exams the day after the presidential election set for March 24th. The student association of the Faculty of Health Sciences in Thiès has rejected the university authorities’ decision to schedule exams the day after the upcoming presidential election on March 24th. “Taking exams the day after the presidential elections is out of the question. We will not back down. And we are not just bystanders in this situation,” they warned.

According to Papa Demba BEYE, who is also the president of the student association, they have been working on this issue since the announcement to find a more suitable time to take the exams.

“The Student Association of the Faculty of Health Sciences at the University Iba Der Thiam in Thiès reaffirms its commitment to defend the social, moral, and material interests of the student community,” the document stated.
