The President of the Republic, Bassirou Diomaye Faye, will make an official visit to Touba this afternoon.

After performing the Eid al-Fitr prayer, marking the end of Ramadan, at the Grand Mosque of Dakar, the President of the Republic, Bassirou Diomaye Faye, called on Senegalese people to strengthen the culture of living together, a guarantee “of a Senegal of peace, unity, and cohesion.”

On this occasion, the head of state paid tribute to all Quranic teachers, men of God, and Grand Khalifs, whose blessed prayers “constitute the foundation that allows us, whatever the vicissitudes, to always stand tall.”

His visit to Touba, one of the most important cities in the country, holds particular significance, demonstrating his commitment to all regions of the country.

The holy city of Touba, renowned for being a major religious center in Senegal, is also a dynamic economic and cultural hub.
