The electoral day is taking place with a large turnout in several localities in Senegal. According to El Malick Ndiaye, on Facebook, the turnout in Linguère is memorable.
“Unprecedented in Joloff. By 1pm, we have already recorded a participation rate of more than 55% in the polling stations visited,” he revealed on Facebook. This strong mobilization of voters demonstrates the interest and importance given to this presidential election by the population.
It should be noted that the Ministry of the Interior revealed that, at noon, the overall participation rate was 29.34%. These numbers indicate active participation by Senegalese citizens from the early hours of the vote. The diversity of participation rates in different localities reflects the civic and democratic engagement of voters across the country.
